Anish Kapoor (b.1954, Mumbai) is internationally recognized as one of today’s leading contemporary artists. Since representing Britain at the 44th Venice Biennale (1990), where he was awarded the Premio Duemila and winning the Turner Prize (1991), he has held major solo exhibitions globally and his work is permanently exhibited in some of the most important international collections and museums. Increasingly renowned for artworks that blur the boundary between architecture and sculpture, many of his public works have become iconic landmarks. Kapoor lives and works in Venice and London.

The artwork will be safely stored, free of charge until Friday 15 December 2023. Alternatively, Freedom from Torture can help organise national and international delivery of artworks through a third party, to the winner. The winning bidder will be responsible for all delivery costs and will be invoiced directly by the third party.
